Schull Courtyard Café

 


You can step straight from the High Street in Schull into our Courtyard Café. Here we serve coffee, tea, hot chocolate, a range of traditional and modern cakes and pastries as well as light lunches.

What could be better than enjoying morning coffee or afternoon tea in the spacious Café, with it subtle decoration and decor, its wide and welcoming service bar and our friendly attentive staff? The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the tables and woodwork painted in soft, relaxing cream and off-white tones, accentuating the deeper notes of the fabrics and upholstery, the richer colours of food and drinks, the enticing aroma of Gwen’s own, specially prepared chocolates. Enjoy your hot drink, perhaps a slice of cake or some other delight from our patisserie, and watch the West Cork world go by through the large front windows of the Café.

Or you can drop in for lunch, simple yet savoury platters of cheeses, charcuterie, bread and salads. As far as possible we use local, Irish and French produce to make our lunch menu simply enjoyable.

You can also purchase items to take away with you from our patisserie, for some quiet moment of pleasure at some other time in the day. Of course, while you are in the Café, you will certainly notice the range of Gwen’s Chocolates in their display cabinet. Why not take a bag and carefully drop into it a selection of choice morsels to savour later, or take home one of our pre-selected boxes?
